At Milan the hubbub of the station will wake you before daybreak, You’ll take your brown leather traveling bag and move across the platform to the train heading north. You’ll board the train, claim your seat in first class, go along the corridor to wash and shave, check your bag, taking a notebook and the Cixous novel that your reading and walk along the corridor to the restaurant car to have breakfast.
